As COO, Tamiko is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of NextUp. She is Sarah Alter’s right hand, and leads our high performing teams to be productive, efficient, and effective. Tamiko is not new to NextUp, as she was the NextUp Membership Coordinator for PepsiCo. She also volunteers her time as a Mentor for Million Women Mentor (MWM) where she mentors students in South Dallas, and is the Chair for the Women Inclusion Network, which is geared to helping women develop leadership skills. Tamiko came to NextUp in 2022 from PepsiCo-Frito Lay division, where she worked from 2015. Within PepsiCo, Tamiko held multiple executive roles, most recently leading a $3.5 billion Customer Sales Team for the South Central Region as the Sr. Director of Sales. Tamiko earned her B.S in Marketing from San Francisco State University, her MBA from John F. Kennedy University, and her Strategic Management Certificate from Harvard University. She lives in Texas with her husband, Victor, and her children, Victoria and Elijah.
