How did you first hear about NEW, and what prompted you to join?
I first heard about NEW through my previous employer. I attended several events and was blown away by the women I saw in the rooms. I was honored to be in their presence and recognized that I had the skill and ability to be one of them.
How has NEW impacted your personal/professional life?
In these difficult times, I’ve bonded with a few ladies in my region. We have the most awesome text message conversations that run the gamut of topics and emotions. These ladies have sustained me and lifted me and I so appreciate them.

I celebrated a milestone birthday this year. It feels strange yet beautiful. I recall my parents reaching this same milestone and, now here I am. I feel stronger, more self-assured, more comfortable in my skin, and like I have a firmer grasp of who I am.
What is your favorite NEW event you’ve attended?
One of my favorite NEW events was a virtual event that was held this year. Paul Bennett, Chief Creative Officer of IDEO, spoke in a manner that was calm, hopeful, and inspirational. When I was craving connectivity the most, it was the right message at the right time.
What other activities, aside from being an amazing member of NEW, do you enjoy in your free time?
I enjoy riding my motorcycle, capturing life moments through photo and video, and curling up with a good book.
