Esteemed panelists include Cathy Burns, CEO of International Fresh Produce Association, Federico Muyshondt, CEO of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition (BASN), and Loren Rosario-Maldonado, Chief People Scientist of Cultura, Inc. who will share their perspective on leading diverse and multigenerational workforces.
The panel will be moderated by Nicole Wright, NextUp’s Regions Market manager and will address diversity across various aspects of personal backgrounds as well as working environments (ex. remote vs. in-office). Headshots will take place at designated time slots prior to the event start time. We will contact you regarding specific details. Parking is free. PANELIST INFO: Cathy Burns is the CEO of the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), the largest and most diverse international association serving the entire fresh produce and floral supply chain, and the only to seamlessly integrate world-facing advocacy and industry-facing support. With 30 years of leadership experience in the grocery industry, she led large teams and transformations across multiple retail banners. Most recently, she served as president of Food Lion, Harveys and Reid’s, and was a member of the Delhaize America Executive Committee. She spent 20 years at Hannaford serving in multiple leadership roles across disciplines. Prior to her current role with IFPA, Burns was the CEO of Produce Marketing Association from 2013-2021. Burns was named a 2007 Top Woman in Grocery by Progressive Grocer, was awarded The Packer’s 2008 Produce Marketer of the Year award, named one of Supermarket News’ Power 50 in 2009, was named one of Mass Market Retailer’s Most Influential Women in Mass Market Retailing in 2010, and was recognized as one of the top 25 leaders in the produce and floral industries by The Packer in 2018.
Federico Muyshondt is the CEO of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition (BASN). He started with the team in 2022 with a sole focus on driving growth for BODYARMOR™. Since then, his team has expanded, now also supporting POWERADE, which Muyshondt was instrumental in re-launching in 2023 through a new visual identity, brand purpose and breakthrough formula. Together with BODYARMOR and POWERADE, BASN is on a mission to become #1 in active hydration under Muyshondt’s leadership. Muyshondt joined BASN from Chobani where he served as Chief Commercial Officer (CMO & CCO) from 2020 to 2022, Chief Customer Officer, and Senior Vice President/GM from 2018 to 2020. Muyshondt was a huge part of transforming Chobani from a yogurt company to a multi-category food company with impressive growth. Prior to Chobani, Muyshondt worked at Danone, as well as Frito-Lay, where he served in various marketing roles.
Loren Rosario-Maldonado, an acclaimed author and People Strategist, has dedicated over 25 years to leadership coaching, change management, and cultural intelligence. Her unique ability to create human-centered workplace experiences and build high-performing teams has transformed organizations and solidified her reputation as an industry trailblazer. Her latest book, Becoming the Change: The Power of Cultural Intelligence, is a testament to her commitment to fostering cultural diversity and personal growth. Now pursuing a Psy. D. in Cross-Cultural Psychology, Loren's expertise in navigating the multifaceted dimensions of cultural intelligence continues to guide leaders and readers alike, empowering them to make informed, impactful decisions in an increasingly interconnected world.
