Orn Kong was appointed as Senior Director of Accounts in January of 2022. Prior to this role, Orn’s experience at Altria spans across multiple functions over 14 years and she has experiences and led work in the areas of Finance, Tax, Strategy and Business Development, Brand Management and Investor Relations. Orn has two daughters with her Husband and resides in Richmond, VA and was born to Cambodian refugees who arrived in the U.S. in 1981.

Debra Schwartz

Managing Director, Impact Investments, MacArthur Foundation

Debra Schwartz is Managing Director for Impact Investments at the MacArthur Foundation, a private philanthropy with assets totalling approximately $8.5 billion.

For 40 years, MacArthur has made catalytic impact investments that advance equity, inclusion, and sustainability, committing $700+ million to private debt, equity and guarantees. Collectively, these impact-driven, private investments have helped strengthen and expand affordable housing, community development, climate solutions, entrepreneurship, access to credit and investment, and social innovation.

Debra joined MacArthur in 1995, having previously worked as an investment banker at John Nuveen & Co., and as CFO for a nonprofit child welfare agency in Chicago. An expert on impact investing, social enterprise, and non-profit finance, she has been an adjunct and guest lecturer at a number of leading universities. Debra is a frequent public speaker and resource for others working to start or strengthen their impact investing practice.

Currently, Debra serves on the Mission Investors Exchange board of directors and as Treasurer for the International Women’s Forum – Chicago Chapter. Previously, she was appointed by former President George W. Bush to the US Treasury Department Community Development Advisory Board and served as trustee of the Yale Club of Chicago Scholarship Foundation. Debra received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and earned her BA from Yale, summa cum laude.
