Founder and Executive Director, BE REAL USA

Denise Hamburger, J.D., is the founder and executive director of BE REAL USA, a nonprofit that envisions a world where each and every student can grow up with a healthy relationship to food and their body. In 2019, Denise created a professional development workshop for educators called Body Confident Schools and has delivered this training to over 1500 US teachers, coaches, administrators, and school mental health professionals. She spoke at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health in 2020, and at the CDC in 2021. She has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and was an environmental attorney in her first career. She co-wrote the legal treatise Pollution in the United Kingdom. She has spent the last 25 years involved in education nonprofits, including Chicago’s After School Matters.

Jeff Orschell is the EY Americas Consumer Retail Leader and a Consumer Client Service Partner, where he brings over 30 years’ experience and strategic vision to the firm’s retail and consumer products accounts. He works tirelessly to understand what is most important to his clients, then helps them achieve their goals and aspirations by bringing them great ideas, relevant thought leadership and exceptional teams that deliver results. Jeff is active in his community, serving as a Cincinnati Chapter Board Member for the Network of Executive Women (NEW), sitting on the Board of Trustees for the Cincinnati Chapter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities and serving as an inaugural Board Member for the Xavier University’s Center for Women in Business and Leadership.

Shilpa Vadodaria

Worldwide Innovation Lead, Amazon

Shilpa’s tenet is healthcare is a human right. She is currently AWS’ Worldwide Innovation Lead specializing in health equity, and she has previously designed and implemented the Affordable Care Act, $10B population health reform, and COVID-19 digital equity for underserved communities. She holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas and a BS in biomedical engineering from Columbia University. Shilpa also serves as President of Amazon’s global employee resource group (Body Positive Peers) with a mission to eliminate body size and shape bias in products and services. Given her experience building safety nets, Shilpa believes in questioning the status quo in order to build a just future.
